Minimalism: Packing for a Staycation

As I write this, it’s FIVE WHOLE DAYS until our blogger squad go on their first holibobs, huzzahhh! After chatting over Whatsapp for a full year, I am going against every sensible adult’s wishes and going on holiday with people I’ve technically never met.
We’ve booked a barn in the countryside and are planning on spending the weekend catching up, bullet journalling and baking, as well as making the most of the on site swimming pool. Ahh, bliss.

I’m going to take this opportunity to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to the wonderful team at Talking Tables for sending us some goodies to decorate the barn with, not to mention a Prosecco Pong set, which I am beyond excited to play! I can’t handle the taste of beer so I’m all over this. Soz Beer Pong, your days are over.
We have iridescent garlands and curtains, fairy lights, hanging decorations and some scatter stars which will make the barn super pretty and all set for our weekend of fun!

As always, I’m packing light and trying to squidge all my stuff, decorations and some foodie bits into my tiny hand luggage case. Eeep, I’m not sure if I’ll manage it yet but I have giant handbag as back up!
Other than my toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant, these are the only cosmetics I’m taking: Lip salve, lipstick, perfume stick, eyebrow pencil, liquid eyeliner, coconut oil and arrowroot flour (dry shampoo).

I’m in the process of washing and sorting my clothes but I’m pretty much taking two full outfits and one extra top as well as swimwear for the pool. It’s been so long since I’ve been swimming so I can’t wait to take a splash and chill on a lilo!
I’m truly loving the idea of staycations at the moment; chilling in the country is much needed with a life full of tech and screens.
