I’ve been trying to read more this year. I used to read all the time as a kid and had never found the time for it as an adult. However, I like to be constantly learning so did some research for books that I felt would help me and my business ideas!
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying getting back into reading and have compiled myself a little library, so thought I’d share some of my favourites so far.
1 The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying Up (Marie Kondo)
Read this if: Your life, house and mind needs a giant declutter! It really helps to get your space in order which makes such a difference to how you tackle challenges and set your plans and goals.
2 Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life (Brian Tracy)
Read this if: You feel a bit stuck, are prone to negative thinking and use the word ‘can’t’ a lot. It will make you challenge your negative emotions such as anger and regret and teach you how to turn them around into positives in order to shape your future.
3 The Art Of Non-Conformity (Chris Guillebeau)
Read this if: You make decisions based on society’s suggested social norms. This includes getting married and having kids because you feel you should or feeling like you’re ‘too old’, ‘too poor’ or ‘too scared’ to do the things you’d really love to do.
4 Rich Dad Poor Dad (Robert Kiyosaki)
Read this if: You’re bored of working to pay bills or have an interest in the class system. It will give you fresh view of your finances and may inspire a change in lifestyle and how you spend, save and make money!
5 The Fred Factor (Mark Sanborn)
Read this if: You’re stuck in a career rut and need inspiration. This is based on a heart-warming true story and suggests a very simple yet effective way of furthering your career.
6 The Go Giver (Bob Burg and John David Mann)
Read this if: You’re thinking of going freelance, starting your own business or if you want to further your career. Equally as inspiring as the Fred Factor; this book will fill your positivity cup right up!
