The Packing Light Challenge

I’m heading back to Copenhagen soon and I’m planning on packing super light! I’ve never really been an ‘over packer’ but since my voyage into minimalism, I’m taking even less.

Here is a handy checklist of stuff I’m intending on taking, all which will fit into a small hand luggage case.

  1. toothbrush
  2. toothpaste (liquid)
  3. deodorant
  4. coconut oil (liquid)
  5. small perfume stick (liquid)
  6. Arrowroot flour (natural dry shampoo)
  7. foundation (liquid)
  8. palette which includes blush, bronzer and eye shadow
  9. eyebrow pencil
  10. lipstick
  11. make up brushes
  12. hair comb
  13. phone
  14. charger
  15. camera
  16. adaptors
  17. card holder + bank card, health card and business cards
  18. passport
  19. purse + money
  20. underwear
  21. a pair of leggings
  22. a pair of jeggings
  23. a shirt
  24. a long sleeved top
  25. 2 t shirts
  26. a strapless bodycon mini dress (to layer)
  27. a pair of trainers
  28. a rain coat

Our hotel has soap and shower gel which is why I’m not taking those and I can easily go 5 days without a hair wash. I am going to take some arrowroot flour, which works so ridiculously well as a natural dry shampoo.

  1. I love packing light! When I travel I try to fit what I bring in a regular sized backpack. That way I can stow all my things under the seat in front of me on a plane or under my feet on a train or bus. It works well for a long weekend, but on longer trips I’ve never quite managed it. I’m going to try to stick with just a backpack on my upcoming two week trip, but since it involves a wedding I may end up needing more luggage space. Fingers crossed!
