I hadn’t had mulled cider in what felt like forever so I decided to make a batch to kick start the Halloween celebrations.
Oh. My. God.
It was amazing; it tasted like Halloween in a cup.
I kept it simple so all you need is your cider of choice (I went for Magners pear), some cinnamon sticks and an orange.
1 Pour the cider into a saucepan and turn on a low heat.
2 Once it’s warmed through, add orange slices, grated orange peel and cinnamon sticks.
3 Turn heat up to medium and wait until it boils.
4 Once boiling, turn heat down slightly and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
Ideally serve in Halloween themed cups! I love October and this really warmed up my insides. I added some sour fang and gummy fish sweets (both are vegan) to really set the spooky mood.
I’m going to be making a big batch of this on 31st, and then snuggling up under a blanket to watch Tim Burton films. Bliss.
How do you celebrate Halloween?
